Welcome to Invoice Easy ("we," "our," "us," or the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and Cavoreum regarding your use of the Invoice Easy mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Invoice Easy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using Invoice Easy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.
1.2 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use Invoice Easy. The Service is intended for business professionals and is not directed to children under 18. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
1.3 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they become effective by:
Posting the updated Terms in the App with a new "Last Updated" date
Sending a notification through the App or via email
For significant changes, requiring acceptance before continued use
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
2. Description of Service
2.1 What Invoice Easy Does
Invoice Easy is a mobile application designed to help service providers (plumbers, electricians, freelancers, and other professionals) quickly create, manage, and share professional invoices. The Service provides:
Invoice Creation: Create invoices with line items, tax calculations, and custom notes
Customer Management: Store and reuse customer information
PDF Export: Generate professional PDF invoices for sharing with clients
Cloud Sync: Synchronize invoice and customer metadata across your devices (PDF files remain local)
Offline Functionality: Create and manage invoices without an internet connection
Business Profile: Store your business details and logo for use on invoices
2.2 What Invoice Easy Is NOT
Invoice Easy is a simple invoice generator, not a comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, or tax preparation service. The App:

❌ Does NOT provide tax advice or tax filing services
❌ Does NOT integrate with accounting software
❌ Does NOT store generated PDF files in the cloud (PDFs remain on your device)
❌ Does NOT calculate taxes automatically based on jurisdiction
❌ Does NOT guarantee compliance with local tax laws or regulations
You are solely responsible for:
Maintaining accurate financial records for your business
Filing taxes and complying with applicable tax laws
Backing up your invoice PDFs to your own storage (iCloud, Google Drive, etc.)
Consulting with qualified accountants or tax professionals as needed
⚠️ IMPORTANT DATA LOSS WARNING:
PDF invoice files are stored only on your device within the App's storage. Uninstalling the app, deleting the app data, or losing your device will result in the permanent loss of these PDFs unless you have backed them up separately to cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) or another location. We strongly recommend regularly backing up your PDFs using your device's share functionality.
2.3 Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
Scheduled maintenance
Technical difficulties
Circumstances beyond our control (e.g., internet outages, third-party service disruptions)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Account Creation
To use Invoice Easy, you must create an account by providing:
A valid email address
A secure password
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
3.2 Account Requirements
One Account Per User: You may only create one account per email address
Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
Business Use: Accounts are intended for legitimate business purposes only
3.3 Account Security
You agree to:
Choose a strong, unique password
Not share your account credentials with others
Sign out of your account when using shared devices
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account at info@cavoreum.com
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Free Tier
Invoice Easy offers a free tier with the following limitations:
Non-Draft Invoice Limit: 25 invoices maximum (lifetime limit)
Non-draft invoices include invoices with status "outstanding" or "paid"
Draft invoices do NOT count toward this limit
Deleting a non-draft invoice does NOT restore your quota
Concurrent Drafts Limit: Maximum 100 draft invoices at any time
Feature Access: All features available (business logo, cloud sync, PDF export)
4.2 Paid Subscription
The paid subscription tier removes invoice limits and provides:
Unlimited Invoices: Create unlimited non-draft invoices (no lifetime limit)
Unlimited Drafts: No restriction on concurrent draft invoices
Same Features: All features included in the free tier (no exclusive paid features)
4.3 Subscription Billing
Paid subscriptions are processed through:
iOS: Apple App Store In-App Purchases
Android: Google Play Store In-App Purchases
Payment Terms:
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select)
You authorize Apple or Google to charge your payment method on file
Prices are listed in your local currency in the App Store
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions; your purchase is subject to Apple's or Google's payment terms
Auto-Renewal:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
Manage subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings
4.4 Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation:
Cancel anytime through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
You retain paid access until the end of the period you paid for
No partial refunds for unused time within a billing period
Refunds:
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies
We do not process refunds directly
Contact Apple or Google support for refund assistance
Subscription downgrades from paid to free tier take effect at the end of the current billing period
Restore Purchases:
Use the "Restore Purchases" button in the App if your subscription is not recognized after purchase
This syncs your subscription status across devices
4.5 Downgrade Behavior
If your subscription lapses or you cancel:
Your account reverts to the free tier at the end of the billing period
Existing invoices remain accessible
You cannot finalize new invoices if you've exceeded the 25 non-draft invoice limit
You can still view, export, and manage existing invoices
Draft invoices can be edited but not finalized until you upgrade
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use Invoice Easy for:
Creating legitimate business invoices for services rendered or products sold
Managing customer information for your business
Generating professional PDF invoices for clients
Syncing your business data across your personal devices
5.2 Prohibited Use
You agree NOT to:
Illegal Activities:
Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
Create fraudulent invoices or engage in deceptive business practices
Use the Service to facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, or other financial crimes
Abuse of Service:
Attempt to circumvent free tier limits through multiple accounts or other means
Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to interact with the Service
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
Resale or Commercial Exploitation:
Resell, lease, or sublicense access to Invoice Easy
Use the Service to provide invoice generation services to third parties
Frame, mirror, or republish any portion of the Service
Harmful Content:
Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
Store illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content in invoice notes or customer data
Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others
5.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
Monitor use of the Service for violations of these Terms
Investigate suspected violations
Remove or disable access to content that violates these Terms
Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
Report illegal activity to law enforcement authorities
Cooperate with legal investigations
6. User Content and Intellectual Property
6.1 Your Content
"Your Content" includes all data you create, upload, or store in Invoice Easy:
Invoices and line items
Customer information
Business profile details
Business logo
Notes, payment instructions, and custom descriptions
6.2 Ownership of Your Content
You retain full ownership of Your Content. We do not claim any ownership rights to the data you create in the App.
6.3 License to Use Your Content
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
Store Your Content on our servers (Firebase Firestore, Firebase Storage)
Sync Your Content across your devices
Process Your Content to provide the Service (e.g., generate PDFs)
Back up Your Content for service reliability
This license exists solely to operate the Service and terminates when you delete your account or delete specific content.
6.4 Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
The accuracy and legality of Your Content
Ensuring you have the right to use any data you enter (e.g., customer information)
Backing up Your Content (especially PDF files, which are not stored in the cloud)
Compliance with applicable data protection laws when storing customer information
6.5 Our Intellectual Property
Invoice Easy, including its design, features, code, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by Cavoreum and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You may NOT:
Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without written permission
7. Data and Privacy
7.1 Privacy Policy
Your use of Invoice Easy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
7.2 Data Storage
Local Storage (SQLite):
Complete invoice and customer database stored on your device
Generated PDF files stored on your device only
Cached business logo for offline use
Cloud Storage (Firebase):
Invoice metadata (not PDF files) synchronized to Firestore
Customer data synchronized to Firestore
Business profile and logo stored in Firebase Storage
Account credentials managed by Firebase Authentication
PDFs Are Local Only: Generated PDF invoices are NOT uploaded to the cloud. You are responsible for backing them up to your own cloud storage (iCloud, Google Drive, etc.) using the device's share functionality.
7.3 Data Export
You can export all Your Content at any time:
Go to Settings → Export Data
Receive a JSON file containing all invoices, customers, and business profile
Share or save the file for your records
7.4 Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time:
Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account
All data is immediately and permanently deleted from both local storage and cloud (Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication)
This action is irreversible and cannot be undone
We recommend exporting your data before deletion
After account deletion:
All Your Content is permanently removed
Your subscription is canceled (no refund for unused time)
Your email address may be reused to create a new account
8. Disclaimers and Warranties
8.1 "AS-IS" Service
INVOICE EASY IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
No Warranty of Accuracy: We do not warrant that invoices, calculations, or data will be error-free or accurate
No Warranty of Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, or secure access
No Warranty of Fitness: We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific business needs
No Tax or Accounting Advice: The Service does not provide professional advice
8.2 User Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of invoice data, tax calculations, and business records
You must verify all invoice information before sending to clients
You are responsible for complying with applicable tax laws and business regulations
You must back up your own data, especially PDF files stored locally
We are not liable for lost data, missed payments, or business losses
Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Payment processing
We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or security of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
8.4 No Professional Advice
Invoice Easy is a tool for invoice generation only. It does NOT constitute:
Accounting or bookkeeping services
Tax advice or tax preparation services
Legal advice
Financial consulting
Consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your business needs.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Liability Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAVOREUM'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR ZAR 100 (ONE HUNDRED SOUTH AFRICAN RAND), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
9.2 Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAVOREUM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Indirect Damages: Lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, or lost data
Consequential Damages: Any damages resulting from your inability to use the Service
Special or Punitive Damages: Including damages for emotional distress or reputational harm
Third-Party Claims: Claims by your clients or customers arising from invoices you create
Data Loss: Loss of invoices, customer data, or PDFs due to device failure, deletion, or service issues
Tax or Legal Issues: Penalties, interest, or legal consequences arising from your use of invoices created with the Service
9.3 Exceptions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9.4 Your Responsibility
You agree that your use of Invoice Easy is at your own risk. You are solely responsible for:
Backing up your data
Verifying invoice accuracy
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws
Managing client relationships and payment collection
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cavoreum, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
Your use or misuse of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any law or regulation
Your violation of the rights of any third party
The content of invoices you create and send to clients
Any dispute between you and your clients or customers
Your failure to comply with tax laws, business regulations, or contractual obligations
11. Termination
11.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
Deleting your account in Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account
This results in immediate and permanent deletion of all your data
11.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Abuse of the Service or free tier limits
Failure to pay subscription fees (if applicable)
Extended inactivity (e.g., 2+ years without login)
Discontinuation of the Service
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination of your account:
Your access to the Service is immediately revoked
All Your Content stored in the cloud is permanently deleted
Any active subscription is canceled (no refund for unused time)
You remain liable for any outstanding obligations under these Terms
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification) continue to apply
11.4 No Refunds Upon Termination
If we terminate your account for violation of these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Johannesburg, South Africa for the resolution of any disputes.
12.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at info@cavoreum.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Provide:

A description of the dispute
The resolution you are seeking
We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.
12.3 Arbitration (Optional)
If informal resolution fails, either party may initiate binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA). Arbitration shall take place in Johannesburg, South Africa and be conducted in English.
12.4 Class Action Waiver
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
12.5 Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above:
Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction
Claims for intellectual property infringement may be brought in any court with jurisdiction
13. Miscellaneous
13.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cavoreum regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
13.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
13.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us.
13.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to any third party without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms or delegate our obligations without restriction.
13.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet/telecommunications failures.
13.6 No Agency
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and Cavoreum.

13.8 Language
These Terms are provided in English. If translated into another language, the English version shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency or dispute.
13.9 Survival
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) shall survive termination of these Terms.
14. South African Law Compliance
As a South African company, we comply with applicable South African consumer protection and data protection laws.
14.1 Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Compliance
Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, we provide the following disclosures and protections:
Renewal Notice Period: Apple/Google will provide notice of subscription renewal as part of their platform notifications. We will also provide supplementary in-app notifications between 40-80 days before the end of your subscription period to ensure compliance with CPA Section 42 requirements
Cancellation Window: You have the right to cancel your subscription up to 20 business days before the renewal date without penalty
Cancellation Method: Cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings (NOT through the Invoice Easy app itself)
Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Invoice Easy → Cancel Subscription
Cancellation Effect: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain paid access until then
No Partial Refunds: No refunds for unused time within a billing period
Seven-Day Cooling-Off Period (ECT Act Section 44):
Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may have a right to cancel within 7 days of purchase. Contact Apple or Google support to exercise this right, as they process all subscription purchases.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE (CPA Section 49):
Our liability to you is limited to ZAR 100 or the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim (whichever is greater). We are not liable for lost data, lost business income, or consequential damages. See Section 11 for full details.
Fair and Honest Dealing:
Subscriptions are optional; the free tier provides full feature access with invoice limits
No hidden fees; all subscription prices clearly displayed in the App Store
No automatic upgrades without your explicit consent
You own all invoice and customer data you create
Right to Terminate:
You may terminate your account at any time through Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently deletes all your data.
14.2 Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) Compliance

Cross-Border Data Transfers:
Your data may be transferred to countries outside South Africa (including the United States for Firebase and Sentry services). We ensure adequate safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses and service provider security commitments.
14.3 Value Added Tax (VAT) for South African Users
Cavoreum is a registered VAT vendor in South Africa. For South African users:
VAT Treatment: Subscription fees charged through Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to VAT as per South African tax law
VAT Invoices: VAT on subscription purchases is collected and remitted by Apple/Google as the payment processor. Apple and Google are responsible for providing tax documentation for your purchases
Business Users: If you require a VAT invoice for business expense purposes, you can request transaction receipts from Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) which will include VAT details where applicable
VAT Registration: Our VAT number is available upon request by contacting info@cavoreum.com
Note: Subscription pricing displayed in the App Store/Play Store includes all applicable taxes for your region.
14.4 Subscription Management - Important Clarification
YOU CANNOT CANCEL SUBSCRIPTIONS THROUGH THE INVOICE EASY APP
All subscription management (including cancellation, plan changes, and refund requests) MUST be done through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. We do not have access to your Apple/Google subscription management.
To manage your subscription:
Open your device's App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android)
Navigate to Subscriptions
Select Invoice Easy
Choose Cancel, Change Plan, or request a refund
The "Restore Purchases" button in Invoice Easy only syncs your existing subscription status; it does NOT manage subscriptions.
